DISCRIMINATION:

persuading you to embrace equality

This comic shows discrimination of the sexes in a way that isn’t as publicized. Women can be sexist too. Men and women should be able to live peacefully with one another. If a female can use a men’s restroom then a man can use a women’s restroom. You can’t switch your logic when the situation changes.

These photos is showing why feminism seems to exist. We aim to defend ourselves in the inequality. Unequal pay between men and women is extremely evident. If the same skills are being performed and everything else is equal then the pay should be that way as well. Women are capable of performing tasks just as well as men.

This stereotype lives on after so many years. It is assumed that a woman should be able to cook and clean and play certain roles while the man works and is masculine. Gender roles still exist. Men are just as capable of being a good cook and cleaning a home as women are. Just as a woman is perfectly capable of working and providing for a family.

This photo has a lot to do with the work field for women. As I said before there are many wage gaps. Men tend to be paid more for the same job a woman may do. This shows how women are being dragged down but society still claims to be making everything equal. Equality in the sexes matters just as much as any other equality issue out there.

This comic shows the battle feminists deal with. Feminism is wanting equality of the sexes. Every woman should be a feminist. Though I’m not one for labels, I appreciate equality and respect. That is exactly what a feminist is. Wanting equality and respect.
No gender is greater than the other. I’ve noticed men seem to get defensive against feminists, but I struggle to understand why.

This comic is an example of homophobia. On the left the man is being yelled at to get a job, but when he approaches the same man who had yelled at him earlier, he is turned away for being gay. This may also be an example of hypocrisy. We often frown upon people for things they cannot control. You can’t control who you love. Love is love.

This comic describes the discrimination of the sexes. It is widely accepted for all men to show their nipples, but when women show theirs they are shamed. It is a natural part of life. Our bodies should not be shamed. If it is decent for men to show their nipples in public, then it should be fair for us to show ours as well. One gender is not better than the other and should not be treated as such. Sexism is a common issue today and can be resolved peacefully.

This comic shows a deeper message than just the ice cream reference. It shows how far people can take this issue. Shoving your opinion in someone’s face will not work, and better yet you can’t force anyone to believe you. This references race. Skin color does not define who we are as people. Often we see people hurting each other while trying to solve a problem. We can solve these problems in peaceful ways.
